Exceptional Cask Selection Mark XXV,Calvados cask first for Foursquare.
Equipoise is the 25th release in Foursquare’s Exceptional Cask Selection, the first to use Calvados casks — a rarity in rum maturation. The barrels came from Calvados Christian Drouin in Normandy, part of a cask exchange with Foursquare.
The blend combines two rums: one aged 14 years in ex-bourbon casks, the other aged 10 years in ex-bourbon before a 4-year finish in ex-Calvados. Bottled at 61 % ABV, with no additives, it scored 99/100 at the 2024 International Wine and Spirits Championships.
