Released in 1985, From The Barrel was Nikka's answer to a simple question: how do you serve a whisky the way a blender tastes it — straight from the cask, full strength, before water touches it ?
The cubic bottle hasn't changed in forty years. The design isn't nostalgic ; it just refuses to age. Inside, a blend of more than a hundred component whiskies from Nikka's two stills, bottled at 51.4 % — a number identified through years of tasting as the precise note where weight, sweetness and length pull at the same time.
